Terms and conditions
The terms of sale below apply to the use of Q-Snap and the purchase of one-year access. Please read them before ordering — please contact us if anything is unclear.
1Parties
These Terms of Sale constitute the agreement between ActiveWEB AS, org.nr NO 982 259 428 VAT, which provides Q-Snap ("Q-Snap", "we", "us") and the user of the App or purchases access ("you").
Q-Snap is primarily provided to consumers. Mandatory rules in the Consumer Purchase Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act and the Marketing Act always apply, and take precedence over the terms herein where they conflict.
2Service
Q-Snap is an app (Progressive Web App) that takes a picture of text, recognizes the text, translates it into the language of your choice and reads it aloud. The app opens on app.qsnap.no and can be installed on the home screen without the App Store.
- Free: the first 15 snap s, all languages and voices. No account, no cards.
- Paid Q-Snap: unlimited number of snap s, premium voices, audio without watermark, MP3 download and offline storage for the latest snap s. Current content and price are always on qsnap.no.
The service is delivered fully digitally — no physical goods are sold. Text recognition, translation and speech are automated and may contain errors; Q-Snap is an aid and does not replace authorized translation where required.
3Payment and prices
- Q-Snap be paid in advance for one year. The price is NOK 279 per year in Norway, SEK 279 in Sweden, DKK 209 in Denmark and EUR 27 per year otherwise, incl. VAT
- Payment is made by payment card (vi. All card and payment information is handled by the payment partner — we never store card numbers ourselves.
- Gift and discount codes will be deducted before payment. A code can only be used once per person, unless otherwise stated.
- A receipt will be sent by e-mail to the address you provide when purchasing.
4Delivery
Q-Snap is immediately activated in the app once the payment is confirmed (usually within seconds). The purchase is associated with the device you buy on and with your email address, so you can restore access on a new phone by getting in touch.
No physical goods are sent and no shipping or delivery costs are incurred.
5Duration, Renewal and Termination
- Duration: Q-Snap is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. No binding period beyond this period.
- Renewal: If you have chosen fixed payment (Vipps fixed payments or card), Q-Snap will automatically renew for a new year upon expiry. You will be notified by email well in advance of the renewal. If you have paid for a single year, access will automatically stop at expiration without you having to do anything.
- Oppsigelse: Fast betaling kan stoppes når som helst i Vipps-appen eller ved å sende e-post til [email protected]. Du beholder tilgangen ut den perioden du har betalt for. Det gis ikke refusjon for gjenstående del av en allerede betalt periode, med mindre ufravikelig lov sier noe annet.
- Price changes: Be notified at least 30 days before they take effect and apply from the next renewal at the earliest. You can then cancel before the change takes effect.
6Cancelled
Du har som forbruker 14 dagers angrerett etter angrerettloven. Fordi Q-Snap er en digital tjeneste som starter umiddelbart, samtykker du ved kjøp til at leveringen begynner med en gang, og erkjenner at angreretten faller bort når tjenesten er tatt i bruk. Ønsker du likevel å benytte angreretten innen 14 dager, kan du bruke Forbrukertilsynets standard angreskjema og kontakte oss på [email protected] — vi er rause med dette så lenge tjenesten ikke er brukt vesentlig.
7Returns and refunds
- Q-Snap only provides digital services. Therefore, there is no physical return.
- Refunds will not be given for services already used or for the remaining part of a paid period, unless otherwise stipulated by mandatory law.
- Are you charged for an obvious error (e.g. double pull), we correct it of course contact us and we will arrange a refund.
8Claims
- Errors in the service are reported to [email protected] without undue delay after the error was discovered. Feel free to describe what happened, what phone you are using and when it happened.
- We confirm receipt and aim to respond within 2 business days.
- In the event of a justified defect, we will correct the defect, extend the period or give a price reduction in accordance with applicable law.
9Acceptable Use
- You can use text and audio Q-Snap creates for you freely, also in a work context.
- You must not use Q-Snap to process content that you do not have the right to copy, to circumvent the free quota with automated tools, or in ways that harm the Service or other users.
- In case of gross abuse, we may close access. The paid period will then not be refunded.
10Privacy and data
The photo you take is deleted as soon as the text has been extracted. Processing of personal data takes place in accordance with our privacy policy and GDPR, within the EU/EEA.
11Conflict resolution
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. We want to resolve any disputes amicably – always contact us first, and we will usually find a good solution.
You can complain to the Consumer Authority for mediation, and possibly bring the case before the Consumer Complaints Committee. The European Commission's complaints portal for online purchases can be found at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
